Ten musicians went on the third CLJazz visit to work with Cuban musicians and take in the sites, sound and music of Havana. We stayed in Casas, - privately run B&B rooms, mostly new and ensuite in the heart of Havana Vieja - the old town.

The casas were on or near Obispo, the throbbing heart of, a pedestrian street lined with cafes, shops, markets, banks, government buildings, museums and hotels all in a street barely quarter mile long and leading to the restored squares, streets and courtyards of ancient Havana.

Most of the group went for two weeks, Wednesday to Wednesday, which sandwiched a week in which we had workshops with some Cuban musicians learning Son (the traditional music of Cuba) and teaching them some jazz!
